It’s A Buyer’s Market. Where Will You Be Living When It’s Over?

 During the past several years the real estate market has seen dramatic shifts and swings for the average consumer. The drop in home and property prices has produced many differing perspectives for home-owners, realtors, mortgage brokers, and consumers. The general consensus of these stakeholders, although not unanimous, is one of alarm, if not outright panic.

 As a Realtor, I recognize the dramatic shift in our regional and local market. Realtors can no longer simply hang their sign outside an office and have a multitude of clients. Neither can a seller command unrealistic prices for their home or land. There has been a righting of the real estate marketplace and the Buyer is now in the driver’s seat in their home buying process.

This favorable market trend will be with the home-buyer for the foreseeable future. However, the current favorable mortgage rates, pricing, and opportunities will begin shifting as the economy and marketplace slowly, but surely, rebuilds and strengthens. Today, experienced and knowledgeable realtors are available to assist new or first-time home buyers with numerous financial options to make their home ownership dream come true.

There are numerous State and Federal finance options that assist in everything from money for down payments, to closing costs, and even for rehabilitation or renovation of newly purchased homes. The National Association of Realtors even has partnerships with national home improvement companies that provide discounts to home buyers.
