My family was one of the first families to settle in Western North Carolina arriving in 1806 by covered wagon from Maryland. Two of my grandfathers served in the Revolutionary War with the younger being General Washington’s bodyguard. I’ve spent a lot of time researching my family history which led me to be recently initiated into the Daughters of the Revolution.
I spent 18 years in the building industry and for 10 of those years I ran my own construction company. I was a contractor/developer in the Central Virginia area working with other contractors, subcontractors, building codes, surveyors all associated with new home construction.
At the same time, I was a single parent and mother to four great kids with the youngest being in the U.S. Coast Guard and the oldest operating his own martial arts academy. I’m now a grandmother to eight grandkids, two being adopted.
My main interest is hiking all over the beautiful mountains here in North Carolina. I love animals especially dogs and love to volunteer at local shelters.
I love working with people to guide them through the process of home ownership or selling a home by helping them overcome the many obstacles along the way.
