Happiness Begins at Home
I have lived in Japan, Europe and a half dozen states and never stopped selling Asheville. This is where I choose to be. My father was in the Air Force and we traveled quite a bit. I was mostly raised in Japan. When he retired in 1968 we settled in East Asheville. This is my “stateside home.” I continued traveling however, and became an Army veteran along the way. Later, I worked for Ross Perot managing his financial and corporate data bases in Dallas, Texas and rode the elevator with him frequently. As the wife of an officer in the Army, I became a real estate broker in Fayetteville, NC. I moved back to Asheville and became a Nicotine Dependence Specialist and Certified Intrinsic Coach. I was a volunteer for the American Lung Association and won their award for Excellence and Volunteerism for North Carolina.
The common thread through all of my experience, is that I never stopped selling Asheville and the Western North Carolina mountains. I told everyone I met about Asheville and WNC, from one end of the globe to another, convincing many to visit. I love living here. I have an insatiable appetite for learning and trying new things and the Asheville area can satisfy that. This area offers so much!
As a counselor, coach and educator I believe in helping buyers and sellers understand the real estate processes and their options. Every real estate transaction has its own “personality.” The better informed you are, the less stressful the process is. Whether you are buying or selling, I will be at your side looking out for you and listening to you. As a business person, I will have your financial interests in mind at all times. I hope you will call and allow me to help you through your transactions. I am experienced and have high standards of integrity and professionalism.
I have personally bought, sold and rented my own homes. To get into my current house, I had to sell a home with 15 years of memories, but became objective when looking ahead to my new home. Right now, I live in a home that I had remodeled to fit my tastes. A good deal of my home search had centered on my 5 rescued cats, on having a room to turn into a library and on being able to install hardwood flooring and painting walls in my favorite nature colors. I also write speeches in my home office for my Toastmasters club and work on the club schedules as VP of Education. My new kitchen is perfect for cooking dishes from other countries. "Happiness begins at home!” We are truly happy here!
